Pet Policy – Visitors are requested to leave their pets at home for Buchanan Festivals. The crowded events create an environment that is not conducive to our four legged friends. The safety of both you and your pet is important to us and we ask that all visitors adhere to this policy.
Buchanan Garden Festival – Saturday, May 13, 2017 – The Buchanan Garden Festival is an annual rite of spring for the Town of Buchanan. The festival boasts dozens of vendors including garden suppliers, plant sellers, outdoor living furniture, art, antiques and more. The day’s activities also feature live music, entertainment activities for the kids, delicious food and a wine garden.
This year’s Garden Festival is scheduled for the second Saturday in May from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. and will take place rain or shine.
The festival is produced by the Town of Buchanan with efforts by volunteers from throughout the community including the Buchanan Special Events Committee and the Buchanan Town Improvement Society. You may register on line using google docs in the first link below, or, register by US Postal mailing by downloading the second link and mailing at your local post office. Explore booths overflowing with Antiques, Crafts, Art, great food as well as activities for the kids. Talk with antique auto owners to learn about their efforts to restore their autos as part of the Antique Auto and Tractor Show.
A celebration of life in small town America, Mountain Magic In Fall showcases the Town’s successful revitalization efforts, be sure to explore Main Street where you will find historic buildings from 1815 through the 1950’s featuring antiques, art and great restaurants.
Discover traditional and contemporary Bluegrass music while visiting Mountain Magic In Fall. Bring a lawn chair and sit a spell. Today’s musical performances help keep the musical heritage of Bluegrass alive by introducing a new generation of listeners to this uniquely American form of music. Join us as we kick off the day’s activities at 10 AM and continue playing throughout the day until 5:00PM.
